IELTS

IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. It is designed to assess the standard of English of students wanting to pursue further study and work in English speaking countries. IELTS is administrated by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, The British Council and IDP Education Australia.

The tests consist of four sections i.e. Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The tests consists two modules.

1. Academic Module:

It is designed for candidates who wish to study at undergraduate r postgraduate levels and for those who is seeking professional registration.

1. General Training Module:

It is designed for those candidates who wish to migrate to English speaking countries and who wish to study or train at below degree level.

 

	Listening 4 Section 40 Questions 30 minutes
Academic Reading 3 Section 40 Questions 60 minutes		General Reading 3 Section 40 Questions 60 minutes
Academic Writing 2 Task 20+40=60 minutes		General Writing 2 Task 20+40=60 minutes
	Speaking 3 Parts General Questions 11-14 minutes
